Bubka has asked Prof. Dr. Verleye from UGent and iVOX to study the credibility and eﬀectiveness of 100 sustainability campaigns from national and international brands that ran in the last two years. The results were staggering:
81% of sustainability ads lack credibility - 13% of sustainability ads create brand preference - 63% of sustainability claims people don’t understand - 83% of sustainability claims are considered greenwashing
